Step 3: What Level Of Athlete Are You?
Beginner: 0-1 Years of Training Experience
This is our starter program. But don’t let the name fool you. It will challenge you in ways you’ve never been challenged. We’d suggest that every athlete does this program for a full 12 weeks at least once in their life!
What You Can Expect With This Program.
If you’re new to the gym or haven’t trained consistently for more than 2 years (i.e. not taken more than 3 months off), please select the beginner program. If you skip steps you risk harming your optimal development & ability to become the best combat athlete you can be.
Intermediate: 1-2 Years of Consistent Training Experience
The next level in our progression. A highly advanced bodyweight program to challenge even the most advanced athletes. Ethos Athletes such as George Kambosos Jr. still employ the techniques taught in this program to this date despite being world champions.
To Move on to this program, we would recommend our athletes complete at least 2 full cycles of the beginner program above. This means at least 32 weeks of beginner programming, along with fight prep & competing.
We recommend our athletes do at least 2 cycles of this program before moving on to the advanced programming.
A List Of Our Comprehensive Strength Standards For Combat Athletes that We Hold All Our Ethos Athletes Too
Strength Standards
This program also employs a set of quantifiable strength standards that will help athletes identify how they’re progressing/ what targets they need to reach in order to progress to the next stages of programming.
They show you exactly where you’re at in comparison to the rest of the field, giving you an idea of how athletic you are and what you need to work on the reach the next level.
When you join the program, you will receive a full guide on how to use these standards.
Advanced: 2+ Years of Consistent Training Experience
DO NOT RUSH TO GET HERE. Please ensure you have reached the level of strength standards appropriate for an advanced athlete. If you skip this you will sacrifice your optimal performance in both the short & long term.
This stage will employ complex training methods that require a good base of strength & robustness to properly adapt to. It will tax you, but if your body is ready for it, this is where the real gains happen.
